Item: OA113
Trobriand Island ebony carving, possibly the final of a lime spatula, with back to back pair of tree kangaroos and standing ancestor figures. The narrow part fitted into the supporting base had clearly broken away from the now missing extension of the carving and likely it was a lime spatula. It is supported by a small timber display stand.
19 cm tall (nr: 7.5 inches).
Condition: good, besides one kangaroo ear tip is chipped.
