Large 14 cm (5.5 inches), folk-art carved emu egg carved under licence, circa 1960, and mounted on turned Acacia harpophylla timber base. Engraved surface depicts a stockman on horseback with working dogs moving a flock of
sheep towards the shearing shed situated near farmhouse amongst tall gumtrees. Initials KW on lower surface.
The timber base’s lower surface with adhered paper label with typed information: ‘This emu eggshell carving is mounted on “Brigalow” by K. Ward. Burke. Licence No. L.89.’
