There is a subline elegant quality contained in this archaic expression of a neck rest, thats from the coastal and lower Sepik River area of Papua New Guinea . The shaped board is raised on bound cane legs, which are stabalized by small packing-case nails. Each end with finials, carved in what appear to be lizard heads, and each eye includes a piece of milky quarts.
