Carved forearm and hand holding a ball, suspended between two balls attached to shield back board, with pseudo bolt or nail heads decoration around the back board. Has a well-handled patina on the hand with the wear on the high surfaces. Apparently, other examples have been found in the state of North Carolina in the United States, which has a rich folk art carving history through the 19th century.
